How it Works

Pickup and Travel

We pick up your dog from your home within a scheduled pickup window. Each dog rides in a well-secured Ruffland crate. The dogs enjoy a car ride out to a rural location.

Off-Leash Adventure

Your dog and a small pack of doggy friends run and play off-leash at a large, privately-rented location (e.g. Sniffspot). A trainer supervises all interactions, ensuring a safe, fun time for everyone.

Gentle Training

While the focus stays on adventuring out in nature, the certified trainer leading your dog’s group also incorporates positive training around recall, threshold manners, waiting their turn, and other polite behavior.

Home Again

We load up the dogs and head back to your neighborhood. Your dog is dropped off at home tired, happy, and fulfilled—and you get to enjoy pictures and videos of your dog having the time of their life.

The Pack Adventures Difference

Weekly Variety
Destinations vary, so your dog may be romping through a field one week, leaping over logs in a forest the next, and splashing through a stream after that.

Wide-Open Spaces
Our outings happen at huge, multi-acre rural destinations, allowing dogs to socialize and explore naturally. Your pup can follow their nose, play in tall grass, and enjoy the quiet countryside. Large spaces take the pressure off your dog, encouraging relaxed play and authentic calm.

Off-Leash Joy
Let your dog run. Off-leash dogs choose where to go, follow their passions, and use their bodies the way they evolved to.

Certified Trainers
Every outing is supervised by a trainer who has passed industry certification through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers.

Assessing Your Dog’s Social Style

Two dogs playing on grass and in tall grass, one lying on its side with its mouth open, the other sitting on top with ears up, a forested background.

We use a 3-stage process to assess your dog’s temperament and pair them with their ideal social group

Step 1: Social Resume

You fill out a questionnaire about your dog’s preferences, social life, and background.

Person holding a smartphone displaying a list of news headlines and articles.

Step 2: Assessment

We meet at your home for a 15-minute one-on-one, walk your pup with one of our personal dogs, and see how your dog feels about us handling and loading them.

Step 3: Trial Trip

If the assessment goes well, your dog joins us for a same-day trial outing, where we assess their social style and make sure we can match them with the right group.

Don’t worry—if your pup needs a little more time to feel comfortable with us, we can schedule a private session for some bonding and treats.

Questions and Answers

  • Nope! Once your dog knows us, we can pick up and drop off your dog using a key or code if that works best for your schedule.

We do require that owners be present for the assessment to ensure that your dog feels safe and comfortable with us.

  • Muddy, happy bodies are definitely a side effect of a great time running around in the countryside! If your dog is comfortable with it, we can towel them dry. We also find that they dry off pretty well during the drive home. However, we can’t guarantee your dog won’t still have mud or dirt on their fur when we return them home.

Please let us know if you are particularly concerned about mud/dirt and won’t be home for dropoff. We are happy to return your pup to a crate or other confinement area where they can’t get dirt on the furniture.

We can also drop your pup off at a grooming salon in your neighborhood instead of at your home. Booking grooming and picking up from the groomer are your responsibility.

  • Intact dogs are welcome! No females in heat, please. All dogs must pass temperament testing. Please be aware that your dog may not be the only intact animal present.

  • Puppies must be at least 4 months old. All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccines for rabies, DHPP/DA2PP, and bordetella. We strongly recommend the leptospirosis vaccine, but do not require it. We are only able to accept vaccines administered by veterinary professionals.

  • No. We utilize services like Sniffspot and Rome to rent spaces for our use only. Your dog and a chosen pack of companions will be the only dogs present.
